Golf and Country Club was designed by the famous James Braid,
situated in the beautiful grounds belonging to the magnificent
mansion which is now the clubhouse. Braid found the rich
Devon
soil perfect for golf and he took great care to leave some of the
fine old trees intact. The Oaks, Limes, Redwoods and Horse
Chestnuts helped him to lay out a magnificent golf course.
Flat, parkland course with an emphasis in driving accuracy and
sound short game – an excellent test of golf. Private
members club but visitors welcome, golf societies day is Thursday.
Superb dining facilities which can cater for individuals and large
groups.
